Japanese Gardens and Junkyard Reef on the 29th July’11

The wind once again is causing big waves and its just lucky that we have sheltered and calm spots to dive when its whipping up the water.  A break in the wind did allow the boat to get to Chumphon yesterday which was great for our merry band of fun divers who also enjoyed seeing a turtle at Green Rock on their second dive yesterday afternoon too.

Ive not been out with my camera to Junkyard Reef for a while now and I was quite excited as I knew there had been many new things added, but first to the calm waters of Japanese Gardens. Yvonne and Tim were completing their Open Water Course with Wilco today.

Yvonnes boyfriend, Daniel, was completing his Advanced Course today too and you can see him Navigating passed the toilets at Junkyard.  High winds cancelled his night dive tonight, lets hope it drops soon.

Our junior team were out again this afternoon with Phill and took some time on the underwater gym …..

Junkyard didn’t disappoint, there was a juvenile bat fish hiding under they buoy which I didn’t manage to get a photo of but his older brothers were hanging out by the cockroach – where else?

There are many other great snaps from today including puffer fish, coral nurseries, sea hares and much more – check out the slide show below.
