What if…….?

One of the most common concerns presented to me on a regular basis by student divers is,

“What if I ever go to a facility that doesn’t teach SSI?”

Well its not a problem….

SSI is a prominent member of the World Recreational Scuba Training Council (wrstc.com), the body that sets the parameters for the leading dive agencies around the world & therefore is instantly recognized by all other agencies, across the globe.

“What if I forget my card when I get there?”

Then thank the spaghetti monster in the sky you’re an SSI diver. Get yourself onto diveSSI.com & click the Diver Verification on the top menu, have a read of the terms of use & then start your query. This little gem allows ANYBODY to verify a diver’s credentials, even if they’re not an SSI diver or professional.

Go ahead, check yours now if you like.

Being one of the only agencies in the world to open up their verification process gives all SSI certified divers what? You guessed it, flexibility, in their choice of destinations & their dive centre.

“What if they don’t have the internet?”

Well then you’ll probably have to remember your card, or even better, take the 21st century with you. SSI have just launched their App. Currently on iPhone & now Android too & other platforms in the next few months.

The App. holds all of your diving information including your certification cards along with other bonuses such as the dive tables, dive centre locator, logbook & much, much more & it’s all so……touchable!

Oh yeah, it’s free too. SSI, because you’re worth it!

  1. SSI also let you use their online training material for free, unlike agencies like PADI who charge a considerable amount for online theory training.

I think they are very forward thinking and should be applauded to make diving about diving, rather than all about financial gain.

Whoops, just fallen off my soapbox !
