Today was another beautiful morning on Koh Tao. With the sun coming up over the island and the conditions looking perfect, everyone loaded up the boat to make the short journey out to the dive site. The first dive would be at the wreck of the HTMS Sattakut or Hin Pee Wee for those not wanting to dive the wreck.I would be following Scott and Ciara on the last dive of their Open Water Diver Course and after the remaining skills we went off for a swim around the dive site.
There was plenty to see from tiny Nudibranchs to a huge school of Trevally. They both enjoyed the dive and were happy to be Open Water divers at last, with Scott even signing up for the second dive.
After a short drive to the next dive site and a nice surface interval in the sun, we jumped in for our second dive at White Rock. Here the conditions were even better than at the previous dive site, despite being just a few hundred yards from each other. The water was crystal clear and a perfect temperature, with fish absolutely everywhere. With everyone back on the boat, the morning had come to an end so we started up the engines and headed back to the shop. Scott and Ciara finished off all their paperwork to make them officially Open Water divers, before sitting down with me to look through all the photographs from the day.
