2012 is shaping up to be the year of big changes!
As you already know we have to move dive centre by the end of the year and the renovations have already started. We’ve moved some stuff over already to give is a bit of room and we have 4 rooms and a classroom already operational – but the big move will happen over November. We will re-open after monsoon in the new spot on the 1st Dec.
We also took the decision to expand what we offer by incorporating SSI courses so that we could offer our divers more choice and flexibility. We now offer the full range of SSI courses and are extremely pleased to welcome Gaz Lyden to the team to not only help us with the change but more importantly offer a very high standard of SSI Professional Courses too. Gaz is already underway with training new SSI Professionals for us, he comes to us greatly experienced and is already proving himself to be a great asset to the team.
Simone has been a valued member of the team for some time now and has been officially recognized with her own page as we made some website updates. She is a very experienced Instructor, super patient and very thorough. She teaches in both English and German and we are extremely happy that to have her as one of our main instructors here at Master Divers.
Nina worked for Master Divers a few years ago and then took a job in Indonesia for a while. She returned a few months ago and fitted straight back into the team. Nina will be doing a range of jobs for us, you might find her teaching, helping manage the front counter and dive centre logistics, answering enquiries or even out photographing.
Wy worked at Master Divers before too and when he returned to the island, he returned just at the right time to join Nai Len and help with the tanks and longtail to ensure the smooth running of our dive boat and operations.
Sadly we also had to say goodbye to two team members too. Phill and Rach were an integral part of the team and worked hard to make Master Divers what it is today. Both of them contributed to the blog too and published some very popular articles – Rach wrote a hilarious post for the blog about her first experience tec diving and Phill wrote a series of posts which simply covered everything you needed to know about becoming a Dive Master. They will be missed but we wish them success in their new ventures. Good Luck Guys !
