#RandomActsofConservation 12th – 18th November

#RandomActsofConservation is a campaign designed to suggest one simple, quick and easy random act of conservation every day.

Monday 12th November

It’s that time to Take 3 for the sea again….

Or, you could take two hands and spend half an hour picking up some rubbish so it doesn’t reach the sea with the twohandsproject…..up to you!  The only way rubbish actually gets taken out of the ocean is when it get’s washed to shore and someone picks it up. Reducing your waste and ensuring proper disposal of waste that you do create is the only way to stop it getting there in the first place. So lend a hand or two for today’s act and let the ocean breath a bit easier….

Tuesday 13th November

Stop more dirty gas power stations being built and demand cleaner energy !

Sign the Greenpeace petition and help lobby.

Wednesday 14th November

Stop Sea Turtle Farming by signing WSPA’s petition…

We love turtles ….we live on Koh Tao which is Thai for Turtle Island….we get to dive with them on a regular basis….as an island we have a turtle release program and turtles are one of the few animals protected in Thailand by the Queen herself.  The other reason we are so happy to support this cause is because one of our own students, Joseph Galliano-Doig, was involved in raising awareness for WSPA‘s petition to put a Stop to Sea Turtle Farming.

Thursday 15th November

Help stop the Ocean going bankrupt…

The Ocean is like a bank yet at the moment we keep drawing money out and not putting anything in to keep the balance nice and healthy. If we carry on we will soon be bankrupt. The WWF is trying to change this by asking us to send a message to the European Parliament Fisheries Committee. The message has been written for us we just have to add our names.
