padi discover tec diving experience

want to know why tec divers have so much gear? Want to see if you can dive in it too?

DSAT Discover Tec lets you try technical diving equipment and procedures in shallow water. It's a great expereince, very different and a lot of fun too.

Even if you never plan to tec dive it will add expereince and knowledge to your diving education.

what you'll learn

You learn the whys and hows of the technical diving equipment configuration and get to have a go in it too. You'll explore some of the skills and techniques which differ from recreational diving due to the equipment configuration.

Plus, Discover Tec Experiences can also credit towards the PADI Tec 40 course.

prerequisites

To participate in Discover Tec Diving, you must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organisation), have a minimum of 10 logged dives and be at least 18 years old.

Usually we start this experience mid-morning with a discussion and demonstration of the Tec equipment configuration.

We can then choose to join either the afternoon boat for diving or dive from the beach in front of the dive centre.

what's included?

The course includes all the elements required for completion: full equipment hire and boat fees, high quality instruction from experienced and qualified instructors, tea, coffee, water and light refreshments on the boat and collection from the pier upon arrival if required.

where to from here?

If you enjoyed your PADI Discover Tec and want to take it further then you might need to get some more qualifications before continuing. Prerequisites for technical courses include the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Deep Diver Speciality, PADI Enriched Air Diver and PADI Rescue Diver.

If you meet the requirements and want to continue straight on then consider PADI Tec 40, PADI Tec 45, PADI Tec 50 or PADI Tec Deep.
