If you plan to stay on Koh Tao for a month or longer maybe while you are completing you Divemaster or Instructor Training Course (ITC) then you’ll want to know which places welcome long term guests.
Luckily there are quite a few places to choose from close by. Rather than book them on your behalf we encourage you to have a look for yourself so that you get what you want. We recommend that you have a couple of nights booked in either the Basic Fan Bungalows or Aircon Rooms so that you have somewhere to settle upon arrival while you choose your longer term residence.
All of these places offer monthly rates of 6000-8000B. Prices depend on the facilities they offer as well as the time of year and your bargaining skills.

	save bungalows This resort is the closest to us and where many of our divers stay short term. When the island is busy this resort is the least likely to offer rooms on a monthly basis but it still worth checking out. They have traditional wooden bungalows as well as more modern concrete bungalows too. This pace is quiet and very close to Master Divers, just walk along the road away from Master Divers with the ocean on the right.
	Kallapangha Keep walking down this road and you will find a sprawling old style very pink resort run by the larger than life Mama Jim! Bunglows range in size and facilities so wander around a few options.
	Keng Bungalows Walk up the hill away from Master Divers and take the first road off to the right. Just on your left you will find the entrance. The resort is run by a local family and accommodation is in small wooden traditional huts with small balconies for swinging on your hammock.
	Insom This place is a more traditional guest house style and offers rooms within a block. Aircon is available and it lies on the main road just opposites the petrol station and food centre.
	Mae Haad Guest House Formally Turtle Guest House, this place has rooms in a block above street level in Mae Haad. Good deals can be had here in there simple but modern rooms and aircon is available too. Just walk up the hill from the Safety Stop Pub and you will find it close to the top on the left hand side.
	Nirvana Guest House If you want long term but want a little more than simple then this is worth checking out.
	NO Guest House Almost next to Thai Art Tattoo and the Chinese Noodle Soup shop you’ll find NO Guest House. Rooms are available with aircon too.
	Captain Nemos Lots of our divers stay here short term too. Rooms have hot shower, TV, DVD player, safe and fridge and can come with or without aircon. At busy times rooms are only available short term.
	tommy apartments Tommys lie on the main road leading towards Sairee. These rooms have kitchen facilities so are worth checking out if you dont fancy eating out every day.
	dolce vita Dolce Vita is a restaurant in Mae Haad just 5 mins walk from the dive centre. The have just refurbished 6 rooms above the restaurant so they are clean and freshly furbished. These 6 fan cooled rooms share 2 hot water bathrooms and cost just 4500 THB a month.
