What you need to know

Who can take this course?

To enrol on the PADI Instructor Internship, you must be an active PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor , and be at least 18 years of age. The course is available to all of our IDC graduates, or if you are already an OWSI, you may complete the programme as a standalone course.

You must also have proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months and be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement (PDF) signed by a physician within the last 12 months.

How much does it cost?

The PADI Instructor Internship costs 22,000THB.

There will also be further costs payable directly to PADI for Speciality Instructor fees. These are currently 101AUD (excluding GST) per specialty, and payable directly to PADI.

Should you wish to apply to PADI for your Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating, the fee is currently 138AUD (excluding GST) and is also payable directly to PADI.

How long is the course?

The internship normally runs over 1 month, with a start date in the days immediately following the completion of the latest IDC programme. For specific start dates, please contact us for further details. Specialties will be completed in the first week, after which you’ll move on to your team teaches and workshops.

What's included?

We include training in 4 Speciality Instructor courses. Also included are team teaches on an Open Water Diver course, an Advanced Open Water Diver course, an additional continuing education course as well as some Discover Scuba Diving sessions. These will provide you with an absolute minimum of 8 certifications, although it is likely you will collect more than this – especially if you are with us during high season.
