Tec 45

Tec 45 is the second step in your technical diving education. It’s the second of three courses which, if taken together and consecutively, would add up to what is known as the PADI Tec Deep - PADI Tec 40 + PADI Tec 45 + PADI Tec 50 = PADI Tec Deep

You will learn;

  • to use decompression software and dive computers to plan dives
  • to make decompression dives with unlimited decompression
  • to use a cylinder of gas for decompression with up to 100 percent oxygen (EANx100)
  • conservative dive practices and emergency procedures

The maximum depth for this course and certification is 45m

What you need to know

Who can take this course?

To take this course, you must be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization), a PADI Rescue Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization), a PADI Enriched Air Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization), a PADI Deep Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization) and a PADI Tec 40 diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization). You must have a minimum of 50 logged dives, of which at least 12 dives were made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres/60 feet and 6 (with or without EANx) dives were deeper than 30 metres/100 feet. You must also be at least 18 years old and have a Medical Statement signed by a physician.

How much does it cost?

The stand-alone Tec 45 course costs 18,000 THB.

If you choose to take the Tec 40, Tec 45 & Tec 50 courses together, then the cost would be just 50,000 THB.

 

How long is the course?

The course is run over 3 days and each day will be split between knowledge development and practical in water skills, techniques and dives.

 

 

What's included?

The course includes all the elements required for completion and certification: materials, full equipment hire and boat fees, high quality instruction from experienced and qualified instructors, tea, coffee, water and light refreshments on the boat, tea, coffee, water, Wifi and internet station use in the dive centre too.
