Tec Basics

This course will develop both your theoretical dive knowledge as well as your in water skills. The course is an ideal introduction to and taster of technical diving without committing to the full course.

This course can be counted as one of the 5 Specialities that make up your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.

You will learn;

  • the basic fundamentals of technical diving
  • to dive in twin tanks
  • how to plan gas requirements
  • how to plan a decompression dive

The maximum depth for this course and certification is 24m

What you need to know

Who can take this course?

To take this course, you must be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization), a PADI Enriched Air Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization), and a PADI Deep Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization). You must have a minimum of 50 logged dives, of which at least 10 dives were made with enriched air nitrox, 12 dives must be deeper than 18 meters/60 feet and 6 dives must be deeper than 30 metres/100 feet. You must be at least 18 years old and have a Medical Statement signed by a physician.

How much does it cost?

The Tec Basics course is just 12,000 THB.

There will be an additional cost for the full day wreck trip should you choose to do it.

 

What's included?

The course includes all the elements required for completion: full equipment hire and boat fees, high quality instruction from experienced and qualified instructors, tea, coffee, water and light refreshments on the boat, tea, coffee, water, Wifi and internet station use in the dive centre too.

How long is the course?

The course is run over 2 days and each day will be split between knowledge development and practical in water skills, techniques and dives.
