padi scuba diver course
Short on time? Short on cash? Have young children wanting to learn too?
The PADI Scuba Diver certification might just be for you. In its simplest terms it's half way to the PADI Open Water Diver certification which means it takes less time.If you have children learning to dive with you, then its also ideal as it gets them diving safely without having to learn the final theory modules of the PADI Open Water Diver course. These final modules can be a bit challenging for younger children and this course offers an excellent way to get them interested and learning.
What's the difference?
This course covers the first 3 of 5 theory modules, the first 3 of 5 pool sessions, and the first 2 of 5 Open Water training dives. There is no exam. Your resulting certification allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 12m under the supervision of a PADI Dive Master or Instructor. On Dry Land:
You will learn the theoretical components by watching specially crafted PADI instructional DVDs and through knowledge development learnt along with your instructor and your PADI Open Water Diver manual. At the end of each section you will discuss the key points with your instructor who will further develop your knowledge pulling on their vast experience. Once we feel you have understood, we ask you to complete a short quiz which simply lets us know if we need to explain some things again or in more detail.
In The Water:
We start you in very shallow water just deep enough so you have an inch or two of water over your head when you are kneeling down making it easy to stand up if you wish.We start with some basic orientation exercises that will teach you how the equipment works.
We break every technique down into small parts so that you can master each portion gradually before putting it all together.
We teach you how to clear water out of your mask to ensure a comfortable dive and make sure you can see the underwater world clearly.
We show you how to deal with emergencies and how to control your position in the water too.
When you have more time, cash or your children are older you can top up this certification to a full PADI Open Water course anywhere in the world at any time you choose!
