We offer specialty dive training through the PADI, SSI and BSAC education systems which allow you to learn more about specific dive activities that interest you.

What’s the difference?

With SSI, after your Open Water Diver course, no matter which agency you qualified with you can continue straight to any SSI specialty courses. This will save you both time and money and allow you greater learning flexibility. PADI do require that you take the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course before you can take certain PADI specialties.

SSI allows you to combine specialties too. So for example you could combine learning about deep diving, wreck diving and nitrox diving over 4 dives. This is quite logical as a typical real world dive scenario is likely to have you diving deep on a wreck while using nitrox to extend your bottom time. This allows you to consolidate your learning over the four dives rather than simply doing one thing on one dive.

Distinguish yourself

With either agency specialty certifications can be credited towards higher levels of non professional recognition and distinguish you as an experienced, knowledgeable and competent diver.

With PADI, your specialties can count towards becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver.  With SSI you can work towards becoming a Specialty Diver, an Advanced Open Water Diver or a Master Diver.
