Jason is our head instructor, compressor guru, equipment technician extraordinaire, and also our resident Star Wars geek - a hotly contended title that typically bounces back and forth between himself and Rafa!
Prior to becoming a PADI Pro he worked as head of IT for finance companies in London and before that as a technical project manager throughout West and East Africa – so he’s always the one we annoy when we can’t format a spreadsheet properly or when the printer doesn’t work! Tiring of the daily grind, commute and lifestyle, he decided to ‘up sticks’ and move to Thailand to pursue a different lifestyle and follow up on some hobbies. His initial plan was to spend a year in Thailand becoming a PADI pro, and then head off to pursue some advanced qualification in another of his passions; sailing.
Clearly the sailing part hasn’t happened yet, as he fell in love with diving and more importantly actually teaching people to dive, and introducing them to the wonders of the world’s oceans. This has now grown in to a bigger passion of teaching people how to teach. Jason is always proactive in keeping up to date on new courses and different teaching methods, and is a natural when it comes to creating confidence in people to continue diving or encouraging people to try new things.
