Kiri

PADI IDC Staff Instructor

Kiri first tried diving as a child, and took several Discover Scuba Diving trips with her dad on holiday whilst on holiday in Turkey & Spain. Her dad still takes diving sessions on his holidays now, but with one key difference – Kiri is now the instructor!

Prior to moving to Koh Tao in 2015 she worked at Gatwick airport as a visual merchandiser (no, we’re not quite sure what that means either!), but got so sick of constantly having to listen to everyone’s travel plans that she and decided to take a risk and invest in a new career somewhere more temperate.

With a clear goal in sight, she arrived on Koh Tao and took all of her dive courses on Koh Tao from open water all the way to instructor. This was an easy decision, as Kiri has always loved teaching. She uses to be a Karate Instructor and has the black belt to prove it – so be careful not to get on her bad side! She also has a passion for the environment having been involved with wildlife volunteer projects in both the UK and South Africa. She is also a pretty good artist, and most of our chalkboards are Kiri’s creations.
