Rob is an instructor and underwater photographer here at Master Divers, and has been diving for over 20 years in all kinds of locations and conditions. Rob’s varied and extensive experience, from the cold of the North Pacific in winter, to the warm tropical waters of Palau, the Philippines and Thailand, make him a valuable addition to our team. Rob is an extremely patient and empathetic instructor. He likes to remember that we were all beginners at one time and brings this understanding to all the courses he teaches.
He is passionate about the marine environment and the animals that inhabit it. He loves observing underwater behaviour, and has been known to spend hours at cleaning stations and staring down Shrimp with Goby holes, watching and learning so he can understand much more about these creatures and their underwater habitats. Always happy to stop and watch the Cleaner Wrasse do their work in keeping many reef inhabitants healthy, Rob also believes that this often provides great opportunities for shooting photos…and quite right he is too!
