Unlike the PADI Open Water Diver ourse, there is only a small amount of academic work; after all you've already learnt how to dive.

Each dive that you choose has a chapter in the PADI Adventures In Diving manual, with some questions at the end which focus on the most important points for each topic. These then act as the basis of a review and briefing session with your instructor. This is where the real value of having an instructor with a vast amount of experience shows as they elaborate and offer more in depth explanations.
