khao sok cave & cavern diving trips
Khao Sok National Park is a stunning area of ancient rainforest with huge limestone pinnacles jutting from the 165sq km lake that dominates the park. The lake was created by a damning project which left many of the area’s natural cave and cavern system underwater. The scenery underwater is just as impressive as above and the best part is that its quiet – you will be the only divers there as it’s a relatively new dive destination.
You can enjoy diving in the park if you don’t want to take any cavern or cave training as there is still plenty to see and many stunning formations to enjoy. It is however the perfect place to learn the techniques for cavern and cave diving and truly explore safely into the grottos and caverns that pepper the lakeside.
As a new dive destination, Khao Sok has been highlighted in a couple of magazines. Ayesha wrote for Underwater Photography Magazine about the challenges of taking photographs there and also for Scuba Diver Australasia about the benefits of proper training and equipment when entering caves or caverns.

Divers interested in Cavern diving will often be interested in gaining their PADI Wreck Diver, PADI Deep Diver or PADI Enriched Air Diver qualifications. If you already have these qualifications then maybe you will be interested in technical diving.
If you want to explore deep into cave systems then contact us about taking the next step.
A PADI Master Scuba Diver is a highly accomplished diver - this is the highest rating a non professional can achieve and as such, you will be held in high esteem. To qualify you need to be a PADI Rescue Diver, with 50 logged dives and qualifications in five specialities.
