We are pleased to announce that this is our 25th year on Koh Tao
Although Master Divers has seen some different owners and management over the years, we are still going strong in our 25th year, something we think is definately worth celebrating... I feel a party coming on!
"I am one of the owners of Master Divers and the General Manager. I am a PADI and SSI Instructor but took a step back from teaching to consentrate on building the dive centre of my dreams. We work hard to ensure that every diver has the best experience possible. I couldn't be prouder of what we have achieved"
"I've always loved being in the water, but I'm truly in love with being under the water. It's a difficult feeling to put into words, but beneath the surface is definitely my happy place!"
“Diving has an amazing capacity to keep you engaged, there's always something new to learn or something you can work on perfecting. Whether that's new course, new disciplines or even new conditions. That's what keeps me interested; the infinite capability to grow”
"I have always wanted to fly…and with neutral buoyancy and zero gravity diving comes pretty close! That I love diving goes without saying, but my true love is teaching diving. The more people I can introduce to the ocean environment and how to care for it, the better."
"I love marine life, and like to find out as much about marine species as possible. I really enjoy just heading out into the sand and looking for rare critters that you don’t see on every day dive sites. So for me, the best dives are the ones you get lost on! "
"Being an Instructor is incredibly rewarding, sharing such a spectacular experience is the reason I do what I do. Diving is almost certainly the closest thing to being on another planet, being weightless gliding through the water. You are visiting a new world for the first time and it’s something you’re never going to forget."
"Diving is thoroughly addictive and as soon as I realised I could do it as a job, my life changed. It's like meditating whilst looking at interesting aquatic life and environment. I am by far my happiest when I'm underwater, especially when I'm giving others their fist experiences."
"To me, diving opens a world of complete freedom. On land you're restricted to two dimensional movement, and are always constrained by terrain, obstacles, and gravity. Those are all stripped away underwater, taking with them any thoughts or problems from the surface."
"To me diving is a state of meditation and relief of all stress, I feel transported into another world and it is the closest i can physically get to being in space. It's a feeling that words come short on expressing and the only real way to really understand this state is to experience it for yourself. I love to introduce people to this experience and share my passion"
"Working in diving is a chance for me to share my passion for marine life and protecting our oceans with a broad spectrum of wonderful people. I love to observe, learn and share knowledge about the behaviour of all the amazing marine life I encounter"
"After my Open Water Diver course on Koh Tao it was a decision between continuing my travels and heading to Koh Phangan for the full moon party or staying to do my Advanced Open Water Diver course instead. To be honest, it was a no-brainer and here I am, almost 6 years later, enjoying every single day on this little paradise island"
"I wanted a job with great vacation time, but then realized, it’s better to have a job you don’t need to escape from. That’s why I became a Diving Instructor. The best job in the World. My first Discover Scuba Dive changed my life forever, and I wanted to pass that feeling on to others."
"From snorkeling in crystal clear water, to scuba diving with whale sharks and watching the beautiful sunsets in the evening - this island has everything I could ask for. I'm always learning new things about the ocean and falling more in love with life on Koh Tao"
